BustedSpoke's MTB Only Night At Rye Airfield
Space Invaders

The inaugural BustedSpoke.com Mountain Bike Only Night at Rye, on Friday February 21, kicked off the monthly series with a perfect turnout! Once again, there were more people than expected, but the 65 mountain bikers had the run of the entire 50,000 square feet of indoor skate park.

For me, the best part of the night was meeting a lot of the people on the forum, and putting faces to the user IDs! I witnessed a lot of reunions taking place between runs, breaking the winter stretch, and met a bunch of new people!

The lines were all freed up due to the low numbers of attendees, and the lack of skateboarders and BMXers, and additional terrain was opened! Being able to use the beginner and intermediate areas, usually closed to mtbs, was key for the all-ages/all-skills makeup of the riders.

Riders Step Up

With mountain bikes only recently migrating to skateparks, I was blown away by the level of riding. 360's, no-footers, knack-knacks. You name it, the riders were bustin' it! Some riders were taking lines never before ridden, and the crowd showed their appreciation.

BustedSpoke.com has planned a mountain bike only night every month going into the warmer riding weather. So, come join us again next month for more of the same great riding! This spring and summer look for other events presented by BustedSpoke.com. Check back website for more details.

Thank you all for coming! See you next month!!
