BustedSpoke.com's Movie Night
Amateur Files Part 1 (and more!)
On Thursday, January 16th, an over-capacity crowd of mountain bike enthusiasts jammed themselves into the
3rd floor bar at the Rockfish in Newburyport, MA to view some of the areas many
amateur film productions. The crowd of over 120 people far exceeded the expected 50 plus.
Movies from NEMBA, DownFall Productions and Flying Polack Productions showed there is considerable directorial talent on the East Coast. Whether they cleaned it or crashed it, the films' riders received rousing cheers from the crowd.
Tons of swag from the event's sponsors - Papa Wheelies, Riverside Cycles, Rye Airfield
and Sinister Bikes - were raffled off. Free t-shirts from BustedSpoke.com and Sinister
Bikes as well as discounted passes from Rye Airfield, water bottles and free CDs from
the band "Stiff" were tossed into the crowd. Our sponsors really stepped up to make
this happen and we can't say enough to thank them. However, you can show your
appreciation by visiting them often.
We especially want to thank everyone who attended for being so understanding, and supportive. You really made the night! We are equally apologetic to those who came, but couldn't fit and hope to see all of you at the next BustedSpoke.com gig on Saturday, March 8th at Rye Airfield. This will be a Mountain bike only night with Pros, demos, national feature length film, free food and drink and music! All to benefit the NEMBA Land Preservation Fund and the purchase of Vietnam! Rye Airfield has a little bit more room to accommodate everyone, 50,000 square feet! There will be plenty of room for everyone! Check back to BustedSpoke.com for details in the coming weeks.
Again, all of us here at BustedSpoke.com want to thank our sponsors, the many volunteers,
the filmmakers and of course all of you for making this happen.
