 Tires for wet rocks
Anybody found tires that are good around here when its wet? I have tried Rampage,Mountain Kings, and Exiowolf. The mountain Kings seemed to grip on the wet rocks and roots the most but the sidewalls kept cutting. Any suggestions?

 Re: Tires for wet rocks
kind of an older thread. But I've rode Borderland which has a lot of granite rocks in the rain and felt really good about the grip I had on them with WTB mutano raptors 2.4"..I don't have much experience with different tires but I'm pleased with these for now!

MInion DHF and DHR, respectively. get it in the 42 durometer and it is AMAZING, climbs anything you throw at it, holds flat braking great and excellent cornering grip as well.

 Re: Tires for wet rocks
I am looking for xc tires but at this point with all the cut side walls this year I may switch to a dh tire. The only problem is I ride a 29er and dh tires are hard to come by. Right now I have a WTB Exowolf in the back and the mountain king in the front. Rode WED. in the rain and this combo did alright.

 Re: Tires for wet rocks
Why not get the mountain king with the "black chili" compound and "ProTection"? The protection does well against cuts. You need to find the tires with both those features, it's the most expensive version.
My favorite tire, just wish they were cheaper.
